Strengthening Existing Concrete Structures with Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRP) in the New Version of Eurocode 2

This paper aims to introduce the content of Annex J “Strengthening Existing Concrete Structures with CFRP” Eurocode 2 [1]. is first time that design adhesively bonded reinforcement CFRP has been introduced in European regulations through an informative annex. considers two different strengthening techniques: externally (EBR) consists bonding strips or sheets surface concrete elements, and near mounted (NSM) embedding a strip rod slot cut cover. Since, new, asummary background related all aspects required for designing strengthened systems structures, are given this paper.
